CIPS: Certified International Property
Specialist, given by National
Association of Realtors. This is
an EARNED designation (not
one you buy as so many are) and
indicates you deal in global
real estate. You must show that
you have a working knowledge of
at least one other language
other than your "native"
language. You must also
show that you have international
clients and have a working
knowledge of the global markets
and have sense of various
customs dealing with real estate
in other countries. There are
only about 2000 CIPS
designations in the U.S.
LTG: Leadership Training
Graduate given by Women's
Council of REALTORS.
This is also an EARNED
designation, requiring a number
of class hours in leadership
training skills.
RPM: Registered Property
Manager given by International
Real Estate Institute
